For students wanting to make the most of vibrant Melbourne city we have a range of studio apartments located downtown in the Melbourne city CBD (Central Business District). The studio apartments have a kitchenette with gas cooking, a microwave, and all other items for cooking and eating (eg cutlery, crockery, glassware, pots and pans, bakeware, etc). The bedrooms have a bed, built-in wardrobe, study desk and chair with an ensuite style bathroom. There is a small living area with air conditioning/heating and a TV.
Apartments are close to shopping, entertainment, and public transport, with easy access to any university in Melbourne.
Semester Housing Fee: Single room in a shared Melbourne City Apartment per student, per-trimester:

Single room, 2 or 3 bedroom Apartment – AUD$7,900

Deakin University at Burwood:
Students studying at Deakin University for a Trimester or more can live walking distance to the Burwood campus and have easy access to trams and buses to the Melbourne CBD (travel time to the city is approximately 45 minutes). Students can choose from 2- or 3-bedroom apartments which have a kitchen with gas cooking, a microwave and all items needed for cooking (eg cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils); a spacious lounge with a flat screen TV and gas heating; and a modern shared bathroom. The bedrooms have a Single bed with built in wardrobe, and study desk with chair. The apartment also has a small balcony. Communal laundry facilities are located on a separate floor, with AUD$3 per wash/dry.
Students like living in a student community, conveniently close to campus, with easy access to the nightlife and excitement of downtown Melbourne.
Semester Housing Fee: Burwood 2 or 3-bedroom Apartment per student, per-trimester:

Utilities:
Utilities connection and usage costs (water, electricity & gas) are included in your Semester Housing Fee. Semester in Australia will pay all utility bills (except telephone) on your behalf. You will not be liable for further utility charges unless there is excessive usage. Your residence will be notified of excessive utility bills before you are charged additional fees.
Housing Services Fee:
This fee is included in the Semester Housing Fee and covers the housing and arrival services, and includes: the pre-booking of fully-furnished private rental accommodation, the pre-departure and arrival information service, on-site Resident Director services, arrivals information and Welcome Pack.
Security Deposit:
A Security Deposit of AUD$500 is in addition to the Semester/Trimester Housing Fee. This Security Deposit is refundable, less reasonable cleaning costs and damages/missing items, at the end of your tenancy provided the apartment is left in satisfactory condition and all furnishing items are accounted for and intact. Generally, you will receive the deposit refund 3 – 4 weeks after the conclusion of your program.
Leases:
All leases are in line with your Melbourne University’s academic year (including the Deakin Trimester), from February to June and July to October/November. Semester in Australia will provide housing for your entire semester/program at the Australian university. Exact dates will be outlined in your Booking Confirmation and Semester Housing Fee invoice. Any additional housing must be requested prior to your departure to Australia, and is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, please consider your travel dates carefully.
Internet connection IS INCLUDED in your SiA Sydney Housing:
Internet in Australia is very different, often quite slow and not easily accessible for free in public places. In Australia internet is charged by download limits. Aussie Internet is the #1 complaint from students! SiA provides internet in your apartment. Upon booking ask for details, such as any limits or restrictions. We can even set you up with personal mobile wireless internet (USB), which you can use anytime, anywhere! Pre-order it with us and it will be ready and activated for you upon arrival.
Phone and cable TV ARE NOT not included in the Housing Fee, unless otherwise indicated:
In most cases, you will need to arrange your own phone and Cable TV service. It is a simple procedure and instructions will be provided. Some students prefer to purchase cell phones instead of a normal residential telephone service.
